Chinese Pulled Pork

I followed this recipe with the following exceptions:

  • Ground ginger instead of fresh minced
  • red wine instead of sherry

Other than that, I did exactly what it told me to do. I had to purchase a couple of special ingredients (hoisin sauce does not typically reside in my pantry), but overall it wasn’t much trouble to make and filled my house with the distinctive aroma of Chinese 5-spice powder. If you’re not a fan, then skip this recipe. The 5-spice force is strong in this one.
