I’m not sure why we apply names to things that are such a stretch.
This chili isn’t “white.”
My husband says white chocolate isn’t “chocolate,” either.
Is that the same thing?
Anyway, back to dinner…
…which isn’t “red” so I guess “white” is kinda’ applicable here. (Although – as you can see – it’s more tan and green. Tan and Green Chili? I guess that doesn’t sound very appetizing. Somebody stop me!!!)
Here’s my recipe:
- Brown chopped chicken and onions in olive oil.
- Add in chicken broth, diced green chilies, cumin, garlic powder, and oregano.
- Simmer about 15 minutes.
- Add in 2 cans (drained & rinsed) white beans.
- Stir in a splash of milk at the end.
Serve with sour cream, Monterey Jack cheese, and sliced green onions.
