Inspired by Simply Recipes, this glazed salmon is full of flavor and super easy to prepare.
The original recipe calls for four salmon fillets; however, we used two 6-ounce fillets and had just enough glaze. I would recommend doubling the recipe if you’re going to use more than two fillets, as well as using fillets that still have the skin on. This will help the salmon hold together when cooking.
- 2 Tbsp hoisin sauce
- 2 teaspoons soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp seasoned rice vinegar
- 2 Tbsp minced garlic
Place two 6-ounce fillets into a ziplock bag and pour the glaze in on top. Make sure the salmon is completely coated. Chill in the fridge for about an hour.
Take the fillets out of the fridge and place them skin side down on a broiler rack, making sure you either line the rack with foil or coat it in vegetable oil. This will make clean-up much easier. Coat the tops of the fillets with extra marinade.
Place in the oven about 6″ away from the broiler for 5-10 minutes depending on the thickness of your fillets. Mine were about an inch thick and took the full time. We served ours with mashed potatoes and green beans, but I think rice and asparagus would be excellent as well.
